Background

Involved since 1988 in teaching business and marketing courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels focusing only on the areas of business research methodology, marketing research, marketing philosophy and theory, business information systems, marketing management, strategic marketing, and strategic management. Since 1998 involved in professional training for business and marketing executives across Egypt, the middle east, Europe, Africa, and USA in various business and marketing topics
Between 2002 up to 2021, Dr Kortam has served as marketing and/or consultant to a large number of universities in Egypt including MIU, Cairo University, GUC, Heliopolis, and University of Canada through recommending and leading the implementation of branding plans to augment their competitive advantage in a highly globalized, deregulated and customized higher education industry and market. He co-founded the joint bachelor program between College Of Business Cairo University and College Of Business Georgia state University since 2008. He also founded the joint sports management diploma with the FIFA, international centre for sports studies, Neuchatel University Switzerland and College of Business Cairo University since 2007. Actively involved fundraising and community development through prestigious grand organizations such as the British council, European Union, USAID, JAICA, and CIDA.
